Abstract: Academic resilience is an opportunity of succeeding in education even in the case of hardships. This concept is used to assess pupils' capacity to achieve academic success in the face of adversity. Resilience among students was found to be favourably correlated with their general well-being. Students with greater resilience reported greater enjoyment and a higher quality of life. This assessment can be used to identify students who are at risk of falling behind in their studies and to give interventions aimed at enhancing their performance.&#xD;
The present research study was undertaken with the aim of studying Academic Resilience among 128 undergraduate medical and dental students from Belagavi city, Karnataka. Academic Resilience scale by Simon Cassidy was used. Percentage method, Chi- square test and Test of significance were applied. Results of the study revealed that Medical students had above average level of Academic Resilience than Dental students. There was no statistically significant difference in Academic Resilience between Medical and Dental students. There was a significant association of Gender with Academic Resilience among Medical students.</description>

Abstract: The current study intended to assess and compare Emotional Intelligence of PG Medical and MBA students and to determine the association of demographic variables with emotional intelligence. Sample consisted of 132 students (66 PG Medical and 66 MBA students) from various colleges in and around Belagavi City. Emotional Intelligence Scale by Dr. Arun Kumar Singh and Dr. Shruti Narain was utilised in this study. Statistical measures such as the percentage method, independent t test and the chi square test were applied. Results revealed that MBA students (33.33%) had a high level of EI compared to PG Medical students (18.18%) and there was a significant difference (p value 0.0210) between PG Medical and MBA students on Emotional Intelligence. Association was found between Emotional Intelligence and demographic variables but not at significant level.</description>

Abstract: Health and wellbeing are crucial aspects happy and fulfilling life. They are&#xD;
gaining significantly important role in dealing with the challenges in economic, social&#xD;
and public health worldwide; and spirituality that uses the psychological sciences’&#xD;
methodology demonstrated positive effect on health (physical and mental), quality of&#xD;
life related to health and wellbeing, recovery from mental health problems/issues and&#xD;
coping skills.&#xD;
The present research aimed to study the spiritual intelligence and mental&#xD;
health in 96 visually impaired and blind children, studying in 9th &amp; 10th standard from&#xD;
Three Districts of North Karnataka (Belagavi, Dharwad and Gadag). Spiritual&#xD;
intelligence scale by Hasan Abdollahzadesh and Baqherpour M et al. and Mental&#xD;
Health Check-list Scale by Dr. Pramod Kumar were used. Percentage method,&#xD;
Correlation and Chi-square tests were applied. Findings revealed that students with&#xD;
blindness had very high levels of Spiritual Intelligence and highly good level of&#xD;
Mental health, there was significant correlation between Spiritual Intelligence and&#xD;
Mental Health. Highly significant association was observed between Spiritual&#xD;
Intelligence and Parental living and socio-economic status; and there was significant&#xD;
association between parental living status and Mental Health.</description>

Abstract: A disability is a mental or physical impairment which significantly restricts one or more vital activities of daily functioning. In India, over 17% of people between the ages of 10 and 19 have a disability, with children making up 1.24% of this population (0 6 years). The complexities of caring for a child with disability, navigating complicated healthcare systems, financial pressure, and social stigma can all contribute to parents experiencing elevated levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. These challenges can have profound effects on parental wellbeing and overall quality of life.&#xD;
The present research aimed to measure and compare the levels of psychological well being among parents of children with disability in speech, hearing and mental functions along with the association between demographic variables and PWB in Belagavi District, Karnataka. The sample size comprised of 192 participants and the research tool used was Psychological Well being Scale developed by Dr. Devendra Singh Sisodia and Ms. Pooja Choudhary. Percentage method, chi square and one way ANOVA were used in the study. The findings revealed that 98.44% of parents showed moderate level of PWB and only 1.56% showed high PWB, and no significant difference among parents of children with disabilities in speech, hearing and mental function was observed. Furthermore, findings also revealed that education level and marital status were significantly associated with PWB.</description>
