Title: Sociodemographic profile and pattern of burns cases admitted and autopsied at tertiary care hospital – “a cross-sectional study.”
Authors: REG No:BF0122001
Abstract: Objectives:
1. To study Sociodemographic Profile and pattern of burns cases admitted and autopsied at Tertiary Care hospital.
2.To study relation between burn injuries and carboxyhaemoglobin levels.
3.To study histopathological changes in kidneys of autopsied cases of burns.
viii
Materials and Methods:
People who fit the eligibility requirements were recruited for the study after receiving institutional ethical approval and written informed consent from participants or their families. They were given an explanation of the study's importance and goal. Data collection included socio-demographic and personal information, along with blood samples for carboxyhaemoglobin level estimation. In cases of burn-related deaths, half of each kidney sent for histopathological examination to document the findings.

Title: A cross sectional study To determine the Relationship between Galton-henry Dactylography system With karl-landsteiner System and gender among Medical students,Belagavi
Authors: REG.NO–BF0121002
Abstract: Introduction:
 Forensic Medicine and Toxicology currently makes great use of the
distinctiveness of blood groups as well as fingerprints for identifying reasons.
Blood grouping, especially the Karl-Landsteiner method, and fingerprint
Dactylography offer unique indicators for individualization. Studies on the
potential relationship between gender disparities along with groupings of
blood based on fingerprinting patterns, especially in samples of medical
students, is still insufficient, even if the differences stand alone as meaningful
findings. The present research aims to investigate the relation among medical
students' gender, Karl-Landsteiner blood grouping, and fingerprint
characteristics.
Objectives:
 To determine the relationship between medical students' fingerprint patterns
and Karl-Landsteiner blood grouping.
 To determine any possible gender-based variations in the fingerprint patterns
and gender of the medical students.

A Cross Sectional Study on determination of Sex from Plain CT scan imaging of Maxillary sinus dimensions

Title: A Cross Sectional Study on determination of Sex from Plain CT scan imaging of Maxillary sinus dimensions
Authors: Reg.No:BF0121001
Abstract: Introduction:
It can be hard to figure out how to identify someone, but it's often very important in mistakes like car accidents, plane crashes, fires, and criminal investigations. A key part of forensic research is comparing unique features found on a dead body with information that was written about the person while they were alive. This can be achieved by analysing fingerprints, comparing DNA, using anthropological procedures, applying radiological technologies, and utilising other tactics that assist in identifying the age and sex of the subject. One way to find out a person's gender is to use sinus radiography. So, considering various dimensions of the maxillary sinus (MS) to figure out a person's gender using coronal view and the axial view of a plain computed tomography (CT) scan is being looked into.
Objectives:
To determine the sex of an individual from the analysis of Maxillary sinus dimensions.

Title: A cross sectional study to assess the pattern of non-fatal injuries in road Traffic accidents reporting to a tertiary care hospital
Authors: Reg No:BF0120003
Abstract: BACKGROUND:
“A road traffic injury is a fatal or non-fatal injury incurred as a result of a collision or incident
involving at least one road vehicle in motion on a public road or private road to which the
public has right of assess resulting in at least one injured or a killed person”. Socially these
accidents are considered as inevitable and a part of life which occur randomly. But in reality,
these are results of a complex set of interaction among the public with their vehicles and the
prevalent environmental conditions along with the existing legal provisions. Many a times
road traffic accidents are preventable.
