dc.description.abstractABSTRACT Pulmonary artery hypertension is one of the major consequence of various pulmonary and cardiovascular pathologies where patients can present with acute onset of breathlessness. Echocardiography is considered the best non-invasive imaging modality for diagnosing pulmonary hypertension. Main pulmonary artery (PA) diameter, right ventricle and interventricular septum are assessed in the department of cardiology by echocardiography. Usually, to identify the underlying cause, some of these patients are referred to the department of radiodiagnosis where radiological parameters such as main pulmonary artery diameter, right ventricular dilatation, interventricular septum bowing are computed. The objective of the study is to identify accurately the patients with pulmonary artery hypertension incorporating detailed history of the patient.en_US
