Abstract: AIM AND OBJECTIVES Aim & Objectives To determine and compare the antimicrobial activity of Ocimum sanctum OBJECTIVES 1) To evaluate the Minimum Inhibitory concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) of Ocimum sanctum gel for Aggregatibacteractinomycetemcomitans, Porphyromonasgingivalis, Prevotellaintermedia. 2)To assess the antimicrobial effect of Ocimum sanctum gel on Aggregatibacteractinomycetemcomitans. 3) To assess the antimicrobial effect of Ocimum sanctum gel on Porphyromonasgingivalis 4)To assess the antimicrobial effect of Ocimum sanctum gel on Prevotellaintermedia 5) To evaluate the effect of application of Ocimum sanctum gel as an adjunct to Scaling and Root planing(SRP) on Sulcus Bleeding Index (SBI),Pocket Probing Depth(PPD)and Clinical Attachment Level (CAL) in periodontal pockets.
