dc.description.abstractObjectives: This study aims to develop an animal model to replicate the clinical evidence for diabetic-HCC conditions and to evaluate the beneficial effects of asarone and metformin HCl in controlling the progression of HCC. The objectives of the present study are: 1. To investigate the role of hyperglycemia in aiding the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma. 2. To evaluate the role of asarone and metformin HCl in controlling the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma during hyperglycemia, and understand the underlying molecular mechanism.en_US
