| Abstract: | Introduction and objectives SSI are an important global cause of morbidity and mortality for patients undergoing all types of surgeries. The most common complication after caesarean section is post parturm surgical site infection (SSI) and it is one of the major causes of maternal morbidity is the post- operative period.It is seen in around 2 to 15 % 1of patients who undergo caesarean sections . Hence this study has been under taken to assess the incidence of surgical site infection (SSI) after implementing evidence based surgical bundle for prevention of cesarean delivery related SSI. OBJECTIVE: To analyse whether evidence based surgical bundle is better than the standard routine care for prevention of cesarean delivery related SSI. |
