Abstract: Diabetes is due to deficiency in insulin production, insulin action, or both and is a metabolic syndrome defined by hyperglycemia. Uric acid and HbA1c levels were examined in this study to see if there was any correlation. At KLES Dr Prabhakar Kore Hospital and Research centre, the department of General Medicine conducted this investigation. People between the ages of 30 and 70 who were diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Prediabetes were included in this research. Patients with Myeloproliferative or Lymphoproliferative illnesses, psoriasis, pregnancy, gout and on treatment with medications for gout and alcoholics were excluded. The enzymatic approach was used to measure serum uric acid (UA) using an automated device, and the HPLC technique was used to measure whole blood HbA1c.
