| Abstract: | Introduction: World Health Organisation (WHO) Global report 2019 on Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) reported that 53 billion people had an access to safely managed and improved drinking water source and two billion people had an access to contaminated drinking water source. One billion people had an access to improved sanitation facility and 2 billion people did not have basic sanitation facility. 45 billion people had the facility for hand washing in their premises. 30 billion people did not have the facility for hand washing in their premises. Many studies done earlier include any one of the aspects like water or sanitation or hygiene. Hence the present study was done to assess the status of water, sanitation and hygiene and also to determine microbiological quality of drinking water from main source and households among rural area. |
