Abstract: Background: Since the beginning of the term "Surgery," Surgical site infections have been a fundamental barrier to the practice of surgery and continue to have an impact today on the outcomes and all the aspects of Surgical practice in 21st Century. Objectives: This Study focuses on the role of Serum Albumin (Hypoalbuminemia <3.5g/dl) and Serum Total Cholesterol (Hypocholesterolemia <151mg/dl) on incidence of SSI (Surgical Site Infection) in elective general surgeries.
