Abstract: BACKGROUND: Forensic age estimation is an entity that aids in estimating age in living individuals as well as dead individuals in cases of natural calamities and man-made disasters. Pattern and closure of spheno-occipital synchondrosis fusion (SOS) along with subchondral ossification of condyle can be used for age estimation. AIM AND OBJECTIVES: To estimate age based on the computed tomographic (CT) images of SOS fusion and condylar cortication and correlating it with chronological age.
