Background: End stage renal disease is a major life-threatening disease in which most of the complications arise due to hemodialysis vascular access procedures. The best modality used for hemodialysis access is native arteriovenous fistula (AVF) which has lower rates of thrombosis, longer survival and good patency rate as compared to grafts. Color doppler ultrasonography is a noninvasive diagnostic test that is used to monitor blood flow through an AVF and detect probable causes of vascular access malfunction. This study was done to know about the complications related to the arteriovenous hemodialysis fistula access by utilising colour Doppler ultrasound and thus help in early intervention to resolve hemodynamic problems and prolong the access patency. Objectives: To determine the role of color doppler ultrasonography in assessment of complications of arteriovenous hemodialysis fistula accessen_US
