Abstract: Background and Objectives: The middle ear cavity is defined as an air-filled hollow irregular space present in the temporal bone with many variations. Very few studies in the recent years, especially in India on the variation of the middle ear cavity has been done. Hence, the study is designed to measure the volume and dimensions of the middle ear cavity along with variations in sinus tympani volume. The objective of this study is to analyse the volume and dimensions of middle ear cavity and variations in the following parameters of the middle ear in cadaveric temporal bones.
