Abstract: Background and aims Anemia is one of the many complications seen in persistent Nephrotic Syndrome children. In addition to albumin, there is also excessive urinary losses of iron, transferrin, erythropoietin, etc. leading to a deficiency of substrate necessary for effective erythropoiesis. The aim of this study is to estimate urinary levels of Erythropoietin that can be a potential cause of anemia in Nephrotic Syndrome.
