Background and objectives Shivering, a frequent complication in these procedures, can lead to various adverse effects. While opioids like tramadol are effective for shivering, they have side effects. Tapentadol offers potential benefits due to its dual mechanism of action and fewer side effects, but its efficacy for preventing shivering in this context has not been previously studied. The study aims to assess the effectiveness of oral tapentadol in preventing shivering during TURP in elderly patients under spinal anesthesia. The study investigates the efficacy of oral tapentadol in preventing shivering during TURP procedures in elderly patients under spinal anesthesiaen_US
