Abstract: CONTEXT: Spinal anaesthesia is the most popular method for anaesthesia in lower segment cesarean section surgeries. There are fewer direct studies contrasting hyperbaric ropivacaine and hyperbaric levobupivacaine, hence we took this study. AIMS: Comparison of onset of action of sensory and motor block and the duration of action of hyperbaric levobupivacaine and hyperbaric ropivacaine and to compare hemodynamic effects of drugs.
