It affects the immune system, cognitive and motor development, and increases susceptibility to infections. Chronic Otitis Media is a common childhood disease in the pediatric population. CSOM is influenced by factors like poor immunity. The study investigates potential associations between iron deficiency and CSOM, examining whether they occur simultaneously or if those with iron deficiency anemia are prone to develop CSOM.
