dc.description.abstractABSTRACT Introduction: Androgenetic.alopecia (AGA) is a non-scarring type of hair loss caused by genetic predisposition and hormones. This condition, impacting individuals of both genders, involves a gradual decrease in the size of hair follicles, exhibiting a distinct pattern of distribution., it affects both men and women. About 50–60% of men start to become bald by the time they are 70 years old. This condition can have a significant psychological impact on affected individuals. Norwood-Hamilton's scale is used for grading. The diagnosis is mainly based on clinical evaluation. While histopathology is the preferred diagnostic method, it requires multiple biopsies and can lead to disfigurement. "Trichoscopy" is the term used for the dermoscopic examination of hair units. It is a non-invasive and rapid tool that allows for the visualization of various factors such as the hair diameter, hair density, number of hairs per unit follicle, kenogen follicles, inter-follicular distance, perifollicular epidermis, and hair diameter diversity under higher magnification. PRP and I-PRF are autologous biomaterials that are fractions of blood plasma highly enriched with platelets, and growth factors required for hair growth.
