Abstract: ABSTRACT Introduction Metabolic syndrome (MetS) encompasses central obesity, elevated triglycerides, reduced HDL cholesterol, high blood sugar, high blood pressure, and insulin resistance, increasing the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) and MAFLD. This study investigates the role of the Aspartate Aminotransferase to Platelet Ratio Index (APRI) in predicting cardiovascular risk in subjects with and without MetS. Aims 1. Compare APRI scores between MetS and non-MetS subjects, and various factors influencing APRI. 2. Analyze APRI's role in predicting cardiovascular risk using the Framingham Risk Score and ASCVD score in MetS subjects
