| dc.description.abstract | Background: Inguinal herniae are characterized by the protrusion of abdominal contents through the inguinal canal or fascia transversalis. Although risk factors such as smoking, obesity and previous surgeries have been recognized in the development of inguinal hernia, the role of anatomical factors particularly the position of the pubic tubercle remains underexplored. This study investigates the association between a low-lying pubic tubercle and the development of inguinal herniae, aiming to enhance the understanding of the etiology of hernia. | en_US |
