Abstract: Background: Minimally invasive surgery has become the procedure of choice for many disorders, laparoscopic cholecystectomy being the most commonly performed operation. In order to achieve better visibility of the surgical field, the ‘‘CO2 pneumoperitoneum technique’’ is used. There are many advantages to LCs such as a shorter hospitalization time, minimal postoperative pain and an easy recovery. However, there are also a few systemic disadvantages due to increase in intraabdominal pressure. Aim-To determine the changes in coagulation profile of patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy using carbon di oxide pneumoperitoneum.
