Abstract

Background: Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) represent a significant cause of morbidity among individuals with diabetes, frequently leading to hospitalization and nontraumatic lower extremity amputation (LEA). These complications are primarily due to compromised blood supply and neuropathy, which predispose patients to infections and ischemia. To identify and assess risk factors associated with lower limb amputation in diabetic foot patients.
