Abstract: Objectives: Primary objective is to compare the efficacy of IV labetalol vs oral Nifedipine in controlling acute severe hypertension in pregnancy to achieve a target blood pressure of < 150/100mmhg. Secondary objective is to assess the time taken and number of dosages required to achieve the target blood pressure.
