Abstract: BACKGROUND and OBJECTIVES: Psoriasis is a skin disease characterized by the proliferation and differentiation of abnormal keratinocytes, immune-mediated inflammation and vascular remodeling. However, little is known about the role played by dermal microvasculature in psoriasis despite extensive studies. The aim of this research was therefore to evaluate dermal vascular changes in psoriasis using histopathological evaluation with morphometry through CD34 immunohistochemical staining.
