| Abstract: | Background: Schizophrenia is a complex disorder and its pathogenesis remains poorly understood. Inflammatory hypothesis has been proposed to explain the pathogenesis. In this study, we used Neutrophil-Lymphocyte ratio (NLR), Monocyte-Lymphocyte ratio (MLR) and Platelet-Lymphocyte ratio (PLR) as inflammatory markers to explore the relationship between schizophrenia and inflammation. Objective: To investigate whether Neutrophil-Lymphocyte ratio (NLR), Monocyte- Lymphocyte ratio (MLR) and Platelet-Lymphocyte ratio (PLR) will be higher in patients with schizophrenia than in healthy comparison subjects similar in age and gender. |
