| Abstract: | Introduction – Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder which is common in children and adolescents. It is common to find SPD in children and adolescents with ADHD, which affects their normal functioning, behaviour and have adverse developmental consequences. Parenting a kid with comorbid ADHD and sensory difficulties can be challenging, and affects the quality of life in primary caregivers. Limited studies have been done to assess these sensory processing difficulties in children with ADHD. Objective – The primary objective of this study was is to assess prevalence of Sensory Processing Difficulties (SPD) in children and adolescents having ADHD. We also examined the association between SPD and subtypes of ADHD, association between SPD and global functioning , and quality of life in primary caregivers of these subjects |
