| Abstract: | ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: The incidence of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and obesity is fast growing, both of which affects the oral health seriously. Although diabetes and bad oral health are found to be associated in studies, few studies have compared the role of Body Mass Index (BMI) in oral health between diabetics and non-diabetics. This study examines this relationship in the Indian population. AIM: To determine the association of oral health status and BMI in T2DM patients and controls. |
