Abstract: Context: Spinal anaesthesia with hyperbaric bupivacaine is commonly used, while hyperbaric levobupivacaine is less studied. We aimed to compare hemodynamic effects and the onset of sensory and motor block between these formulations when used with buprenorphine. Aims: To assess hemodynamic parameters and to compare onset of sensory and motor block of buprenorphine with hyperbaric formulations of bupivacaine and levobupivacaine in spinal anaesthesia for infraumbilical surgeries.
