Effect of health education on knowledge, attitude and practices regarding postnatal care among rural pregnant woman – an interventional study

Abstract

Background and Objective The postnatal period is vital for both mothers and newborns health, particularly in developing nations. High maternal mortality poses serious risks to both maternal and infant survival. Postnatal care involves providing comprehensive healthcare services, educational programs and robust community support. These strategies are essential in reducing maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity, ultimately improving overall health outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of health interventions on the knowledge, attitudes and practices related to postnatal care among pregnant women in rural communities.
