Abstract: Abstract Background: Gallstone disease is an important health concern that is becoming more common as a result of dietary, lifestyle, and metabolic risk factor. Gallstone development has been associated with the Metabolic Syndrome (MetS), a group of diseases that includes obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between gallstone disease and MetS. Methods: 120 individuals with gallstone disease at a tertiary care hospital participated in a cross-sectional study. Waist circumference, fasting blood sugar, lipid profile, and blood pressure were among the metabolic abnormalities evaluated in the patients.Statistical analyses were performed to determine associations between MetS components and gallstone disease.
