Abstract: Objectives:  To assess the anatomy and variations of sigmoid sinus in relation to the posterior semicircular canal and to the exposure of the presigmoid dural plate.  To assess the position of the sigmoid sinus plate in relation to external auditory canal radiologically Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional observational study was conducted on 30 cadaveric wet temporal bones was dissected in Temporal bone dissection skill laboratory of ENT department, KLE’s Hospital and MRC. X-ray mastoid (Schüller’s view) were utilized to assess the sigmoid sinus position. Anatomical dissection was performed using a Zeiss microscope and microdrill, and variations in the sigmoid sinus were classified into three grades based on its relation to the presigmoid bony plate and posterior semicircular canal. Statistical analysis was conducted to evaluate associations between sinus positioning and mastoid pneumatization with the help of Epi Info.7.2 software.
