Abstract: Background: Understanding how consanguinity and family history relate to congenital hearing loss is essential to preventing this morbidity from occurring in subsequent generations. The study's goal was to determine how strongly consanguinity and family history relate to congenital hearing loss and the genetic prevalence of GJB2 gene in our study . Objective: To evaluate the genetic association of consanguinity and family history of congenital hearing loss .
