T Background: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a very prevalent chronic liver disease characterized by fat accumulation in liver cells. NAFLD is association with metabolic syndrome, obesity, and type 2 diabetes. As these conditions are escalating in epidemic proportions, NAFLD is fast becoming the most common cause of liver disease worldwide. NAFLD encompasses a spectrum of liver disorders, ranging from mild steatosis to the more severe non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), characterized by inflammation and liver cell damage. Progressive NASH carries substantial risks, including the development of cirrhosis, liver failure, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Currently, as there are limited therapeutic options available for NASH, there is a pressing need for effective management strategies. To address this, we conducted a randomized controlled trial to evaluate the efficacy of supervised and structured diet and exercise intervention in the management of NASH.en_US
