Abstract: ABSTRACT Background Growth and development are unique features in children. Child grows continuously till the adulthood. There are periods of rapid growth and slower growth in every child but the pattern of growth differs in children depending on various factors ranging from genetics to environment, socio demography. Nutrition plays an important role in maintaining growth of children. Objectives Primary Objective: 1. Assessment of growth velocity among children aged between 1-5 years residing in rural area Secondary Objective: 1. To study the diet diversity, socio-economic and environmental determinants of growth velocity. 2. To study the association between growth velocity and anthropometry of parents.
