Abstract: ABSTRACT Background: India, often referred to as the diabetic capital of the world, faces limitations in existing oral antidiabetic drug efficacy. Nitrogen and sulphur-containing heterocycles are potential for managing T2DM by targeting specific biological targets. Objectives: The study employed to design, synthesis and characterize novel nitrogen and sulphur-containing heterocycles, and explore their molecular mechanisms for antidiabetic activity.
