dc.description.abstractBackground and Objectives: Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer and is the fifth leading cause of death worldwide. Among the genes associated with breast cancer, the genes BRCA1 and BRCA2 are strongly involved in pathogenesis.It is seen that on IHC there is decreased or absent expression of these genes protein in familial and sporadic breast cancer. The purpose of this study to the immunohistochemical expression of BRCA1 and BRCA2 in breast carcinoma patients and to correlate their expression with various clinicopathological parameters.en_US
