| Abstract: | The clavicle performs one of the most important mechanical functions of the skeletal framework, connecting the axial skeleton to the upper limb. Additionally, it provides a bulwark for the underlying neurovascular bundles from direct compression injury or sudden axial weight transmission. It is one of the most common bony injury, standing at 2.6% to 4% of all fractures in adults and 76% to 82% of these fractures occur in the middle third. Despite the sheer volume of this injury, its management is astonishingly still debatable. Some prefer conservative while the others prefer surgical intervention. |
